Atlanta is the #2 city for EVs and Georgia is tied for fourth among U.S. states in EV registrations. A key component of the state’s success are its income tax credits for zero emissions vehicles (ZEVs) and low emissions vehicles (LEVs). Unfortunately, these tax credits do not apply to hybrid electric plug-in or to gas- hybrids despite their low carbon emissions and lower five year costs than traditional internal combustion engine cars.
